Lost Dutchman 10K Race

The Lost Dutchman 10K race is held annually over President's Day weekend as a part of the Lost Dutchman Marathon.

Where: Apache Junction, Arizona

Date:  Sunday, February 20, 2011.

Start Time:  8:00 am

Course:  The 10K begins and ends in Prospector Park, and is an out-and-back over the last 3.1 miles of the Marathon course. The course is all on pavement, however there are broad freshly graded shoulders much of the way if you prefer to run on dirt. The route is relatively flat and will be much faster in 2010 than prior years. The course includes a slight incline going out and decline coming back to the finish line. There is no time limit for the 10K, HOWEVER, walkers and slow runners should be aware of faster half marathoners approaching from behind and sharing the return lane; please be courteous.

Registration:  Registration is available online, by mail, during the runner's expo and at the venue on race day.

Registration Limit:  Participation in the Lost Dutchman 10K is limited to 650 runners in  2010.

Feedback:

My first Lost Dutchman, my first 10k. Had such a great time! It’s nice to have clear mile markers and lots of potties. Runners don't ask for much! Rockin' medals, loved my 10K run.

I ran the 10K yesterday in Apache Junction, had a great time with all my running kids and drove back to Tucson. We all had a great time and plan on doing it next year.
